Business Applications

If your character owns a business, you can apply for a section to be made for it in specific. In a comment to this post, just describe the business. Please note that you must have a completed and accepted character application before you can apply for a business. The mods will either approve your business or tell you how to fix it.

You can also apply, with consent from the owner, to be an employee of any of the establishments. Just ask and make sure you have permission from the owner.

Name: The Dark Rose Pub

Owner: Roisin Gallagher

Description: The Dark Rose Pub has been nestled along the main road of Mythos Town for as long as most can recall. It is a small, quaint wooden building with a green door and clear windows. Above the entrance is a hanging sign depicting a black rose in full bloom, the words "Dark Rose Pub" are both written in a wring around it in the language of the Sidhe in green, and across its center in golden English writing. The floors are wooden and the walls are decorated with images of the Irish countryside. The bar is always highly polished and inlayed with golden celtic knots. The whole atmosphere is warm, almost inviting you to join in and pull up seat at a table or a stool at the bar. A large mirror hangs behind it. The drinks there are always top notch, but be forewarned, if you ask for some of Roisin's Sidhe Brew you will not remember the rest of the night, and possibly the next one either. One good thing is that if you don't have money, you can pay Roisin in anything you have that interests her, even if it's just a story. So come enjoy yourself at the Dark Rose Pub.

Name: Apothecary

Owner: Arthur Kirkland

Description: A small shop in the middle of the main street, decorated by an elaborate sign and the crawling vines along the walls. There are flowers outside the window and door, which move to face the sun during the day. Against the large window is a seat cushion where Theban sits and suns himself during the day; oftentimes children will sit here while their guardians shop and talk business with Arthur. There are shelves along the walls, and a fireplace against the far wall, where a large cauldron sits, mostly for show, but also to warm anything that needs to be applied or given immediately. Finally, there is a small counter in front of two doors, one of which leads to Arthur's upstairs home and the other, which leads to his basement. An antique register sits on the counter, next to a set of brass scales and an old feather quill in an inkwell.

Name: It's A Trap

Owner: Ivan Braginsky

Description:

"It's A Trap" is a local bookstore that has been around about thirty-five years in the town of Mythos. It looks like a small little square building, made of solid red brick with a door on the front with one small window that has the shade constantly down. The name of the establishment was smeared in above the door in what looks like blood, even though it is really just red paint, along with a crude drawing of a book. Books can be bought or borrowed and the ones for sale are labeled with a little sticker with the Euro symbol on it (but all purchases must be made in rubles and kopeks). It was started by the local bodark, Ivan Braginsky, many years ago in an attempt to not only find an occupation and educate himself, but to provide a method of education to the rest of the town. The halls in this building are also enchanted to be unending despite the tiny building.

Name: Hairy Clips

Owner: Gilbert Beilschmidt

Description: A recent addition to the town, the hair saloon is very... retro, as it were. Yet it's pretty darn coozy, with dark furniture and quirky staff to boot! However, despite the awesome services, Hairy Clips can charge an arm and a leg, should one be the hairy type in need of some new highlights.

Name: The Inn

Owner: Gilbert Beilschmidt

Description: A bit of a gawd, creepy castle at first glance, The Inn is actually home to great survive and a place to sleep for the night, or even several. A small, dedicated staff and lovely grounds await you -- oh and please do ignore the music at night. It's just the master playing post-sex music.

Name: Le Récolte

Owner: Francis Bonnefoy

Description: Anyone who wishes for a certain ingredient not commonly found within a city, would come to Francis. He will set out himself and search for those ingredients. Most of these are wild flowers, berries, or plants. Sometimes small animals such as squirrels or birds for brews and such. But if you ask Francis may be able to find rarer items, such as Unicorn hair, or a Dragon's scale.
